Requirements for applying for a Merchant’s Visa
Foreigners can apply for this permit to enter Panama to explore investment opportunities or conduct transactions in Export Processing Zones, Call Centers, or special areas designated for the film and audiovisual industry, as per the terms and conditions of Law No. 25 of 1992. Besides the requirements outlined in Article 46 of this Executive Decree, to apply for the short-stay visa under special laws, the following must be presented:
- Notarized power of attorney and application. The power of attorney must include the name and nationality of the applicant’s parents.
- Three (3) photographs.
- A duly authenticated copy of the passport (notarized or authenticated).
- Criminal background certificate.
- Health certificate.
- Personal Background Affidavit Form.
- Visa application form.
- Bank reference from an internationally recognized bank or proof of economic solvency of at least one thousand balboas (B/.1,000.00) in monthly income.
- Return ticket to the country of origin, valid for one year.
